Sweet Surf is located on the beautiful Ecuadorian coast in the chilled surf village Montañita. Montañita is one of the prime surf centres in Ecuador and has a really relaxed atmosphere. Besides world class surfing Montañita also offers beautiful beaches, great night life and price worthy restaurants with food from all over the world. Montañita is a famous party town. During the weekends a lot of ecuadorians come here to enjoy the beach and the night life. Once a month it gets extra crowded because of the full moon party. Day time you can go horseback riding, scuba diving or snorkeling, fishing, whale watching or take a tour to a spa! The area receives good waves and offer warm water surfing in paradise like conditions year round. In the summer season (January to the end of May) a lot of north swells hit Ecuador and some of the best breaks, the ones that are facing north kick in at it’s best. Most days are wind free and glassy and the weather is hot all day and all night long and there is no need for a wet suit. In winter (June to December) the big south swells begins to hit the Ecuadorian coast and other breaks starts to work well, in these months the sunshine is less consistent and the water gets slightly colder meaning that you might want to use a thin wet suit. Ecuador has a lot to offer except for surfing. Ecuador is one of the world’s most environmentally diverse places and its many destinations offer travellers a range of attractions to explore.
